• Marching bands: Jenison High School wins top awards at Midwest competition (mlive.com) — Lake Orion High School's marching band delivered a strong performance at the Bands of America regional in Toledo, earning fourth place in a stacked 12‑band finals lineup. The competition featured eight Michigan bands, with Jenison taking top honors, but Lake Orion's near‑top finish showcased the program's growing reputation on a big regional stage.
   

• Dakota wins first golf regional title; Romeo, Eisenhower also qualify (theoaklandpress.com) — Lake Orion High School's girls golf team narrowly missed qualifying for the Division 1 state finals at Twin Lakes, finishing just four strokes shy of the cut. Still, standout Dragon golfer Ava Pawlosky advanced individually with an 85, highlighting a strong showing for Lake Orion in a highly competitive regional field dominated by Macomb Dakota.
