While crews replace aging stairs and boardwalks, residents can still enjoy other River Road National Scenic Byway overlooks, and the story highlights Oscoda Township's long history of investing in this landmark site.
   

• Tawas girls' golf defeats Oscoda for Sunrise Cup (iosconews.com) — Oscoda girls' golf faced rival Tawas Area in their annual Sunrise Cup showdown at Huron Breeze Golf Club, coming up short 7–2 in the Ryder Cup-style event. Oscoda's Lady Owls still posted strong individual finishes both there and at a Mid-Michigan Golf Conference meet in Houghton Lake, where they placed fourth against several regional teams.
