Today's riddle: What do you call a one-legged Big Foot? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Did Ernest Hemingway live in Michigan? The author's not-so-secret connection to Petoskey (interlochenpublicradio.org) — Ernest Hemingway's summers around Walloon Lake and downtown Petoskey still draw visitors from around the world to local bars, museums, and historic sites. From City Park Grill to the Little Traverse History Museum and the downtown statue, Petoskey's streets trace the author's early life and the connections that helped launch his writing career.
• Michigan's Tunnel of Trees is a fall favorite. Is it still detoured? (bnd.com) — If you're planning a fall color drive near Petoskey on M-119's Tunnel of Trees, expect long-term closures near Division Road and Devil's Elbow, plus signed detours on nearby county roads. One washed-out section between West Stutsmanville and Terpening has reopened after repairs, but other stretches won't fully return to normal until at least summer 2027.
