1 Dead, 1 Arrested In Livonia Shooting: Police

A woman told officials the victim was her boyfriend and that he was shot by his 38-year-old brother during an argument, police said.

LIVONIA, MI — A man was killed in a Livonia shooting Wednesday morning, according to police.

Police said they found a 44-year-old man shot dead at 2 a.m. inside a home in the 20000 block of Melvin Street, which is near Middlebelt Road between 7 and 8 Mile roads.

Officers arrested a 38-year-old man in connection to the shooting after he surrendered to officers at the home, police said.

Police said the 38-year-old man was placed in the Livonia Jail, while charges were pending at the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
