Livonia Man Shot, Injured In Detroit Freeway Shooting: Police

A Livonia man was grazed by a bullet Thursday after someone shot at his vehicle on Interstate 96 near Outer Drive in Detroit, police said.

DETROIT, MI — A Livonia man was grazed by a bullet Thursday after someone fired multiple shots at his vehicle on Interstate 96 near Outer Drive in Detroit, Michigan State Police said.

State troopers said the man, in his 30s, was driving in the eastbound lanes at 11:35 a.m. when someone in another vehicle fired six shots at him.

The man was grazed by a bullet and taken to a nearby hospital, officials said.

State troopers closed down Interstate 96 near Telegraph Road to investigate the shooting. Troopers were unable to find any evidence or witnesses to the shooting, officials said.

The freeway has reopened Thursday afternoon, officials said.
