$14,000 Grant Awarded to Michigan Philharmonic

Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs awarded

TheΒ MichiganΒ Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs announced their grant support last week for cultural organizations inΒ Michigan. Β 

TheΒ MichiganΒ PhilharmonicΒ received $14,000 in support of its innovative and educational programming for 2014.Β Β 

In addition to a full season of concerts and free summer concerts the Michigan Phil reaches over 6,000 elementary students each year in numerous school districts in southeasternΒ MichiganΒ with educational programming brought directly to the classroom.

The $14,000 grant is part of $7.6 million in grants that theΒ Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs has awarded toΒ 384Β arts and cultural organizations for 2014.
