2 Women Injured In Crash On Ford Road In Canton Township: Police

Investigators don't believe alcohol was a factor in the crash​.

CANTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Two women were injured in a Wednesday morning crash at a major intersection in Canton Township, according to police.

The crash happened at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Ford and Sheldon roads, according to police.

Police said a 61-year-old woman from Canton and a 33-year-old woman from Van Buren Township were injured in the crash and taken to a nearby hospital.

Police did not disclose the severity of the injuries.

The crash closed westbound Ford Road at Sheldon Road and pushed the eastbound side down to one lane Wednesday.

Police were still investigating the crash.
