3 Canton Smoke Shops Caught Selling Vape, Tobacco Products To Minors: Police

Police said officers used a "decoy" minor who tried purchasing the tobacco products during an undercover operation.

CANTON, MI — Three Canton smoke shops were busted for selling vape or tobacco products to minors, police said.

While conducting vape and tobacco sales checks at multiple businesses in the area, officers used a "decoy" minor who tried to purchase the products, police said.

  • Sweet Fire Tobacco, 1735 S. Haggerty Road
  • Wild Bills Tobacco, 5820 N. Sheldon Road
  • King Tobacco, 44279 Ford Road

All three shops were given a misdemeanor citation, police said.

On the other hand, police said five other local shops, including three on Ford Road refused to sell the vape and tobacco products to the "decoy" minor.

Police said officers conduct the random compliance checks throughout the community with a "zero tolerance" enforcement strategy while dealing with violations of alcohol, tobacco and vape sales to minors.
