A Memorial Day celebration will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026, from 9:00am until Noon in downtown Plymouth. The celebration is hosted by the Plymouth American Legion Post #391, the Mayflower Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6695, the Vietnam Veterans of America Post #528, and the Plymouth Lions Club. The event is being held in conjunction with the City of Plymouth.
A tribute to veterans will begin at 9:00am with a parade that starts at the corner of Wing Street and Main Street, and terminates at the Plymouth Veterans Memorial Park at the corner of Main Street and Church Street in downtown Plymouth, across the street from the Plymouth Historical Museum.
At the conclusion of the parade, there will be a short ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park. The Master of Ceremonies will be Lieutenant Colonel Krista McKinley, U.S. Marine Corps (retired). This year’s guest speaker will be Major Liz Kerstens, USMC (retired). Kerstens is the Executive Director of the Plymouth Historical Museum, and will speak about how the Civil War impacted our town of Plymouth.
At the conclusion of the ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park, attendees will be invited to Plymouth’s VFW Post #6695 for coney dogs, chips, and refreshments.
