The State of Michigan has mailed an application for an absentee ballot (ballot by mail) to every registered voter in the State of Michigan. Those on the permanent mailing list will see their application arrive within 1-2 weeks. Voting absentee (by mail) is optional. Applications will have options for both the August and/or November elections. Every voter can check the status of absentee ballots, check registration status, register to vote, print off an absentee application, locate a polling location, and more at www.mi.gov/vote about Attention Canton Voters .
