Aug. 2 Primary Ballots Set in Plymouth, Canton Townships

Republicans dominate elections in Plymouth Township, while Canton Township features full slate of both Democrats and Republicans.

PLYMOUTH-CANTON, MI – Ballots have been finalize for Aug. 2 primary ballots in Plymouth and Canton townships.

Voters must be registered by July 5 to vote in the Aug. 2 primary. The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 8 general election is Oct. 11.

Plymouth Township

Township Supervisor

  • Republicans Kurt Heise and Shannon Price (incumbent)
  • Democrats (none)

Township Clerk

  • Republicans Nancy Conzelman (incumbent) and Jerry Vorva
  • Democrat Mary Siefert

Township Treasurer

  • Republicans Mark Clinton and Ron Edwards (incumbent)
  • Democrats (none)

Township Trustees (four open positions)

  • Republicans Chuck Curmi (incumbent), Bob Doroshewitz (incumbent), Jack Dempsey, Gary Heitman, Mike Kelly (incumbent), Michael Oliansky, Thomas Parrelly, Alexander Roehl, Don Schnettler and Teresa Somercik.
  • Democrats (none)

Canton Township

Township Supervisor

  • Republican Pat Williams
  • Democrat Syed Taj

Township Clerk
