Van Buren Community Players are proud to present The Sweet Delilah Swim Club, a Jones Hope Wooten comedy in the Black Box Theater at Van Buren Community Center on Sept. 12, 13 & 18-20, 2026.
Come meet five Southern women hilariously held together by their reunions at the “Sweet Delilah” in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Watch as they catch up, grow old, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives. Five very different women, one very united club, sticking together through the highs and lows of life.
Director Thomas Mattison said, “I like shows that go deep into character development. This show takes place over 40 years! Each actor has done amazing work digging into their character’s backstory. Time flies when you’re having fun”.
The cast of this show includes the following talented local actors: Becky Dodd-Sherry of Monroe, Betty Berryman of Canton, Lisa Salisbury of Ypsilanti Twp., Natalie Lewand of Franklin and Rhonda Smith of Wayne.
Performances are Sept. 12 at 7:30 pm, Sept. 13 at 2:00 pm, Sept. 18 & 19 at 7:30 pm and Sept. 20 at 2:00 pm at VBT Community Center, located at 46425 Tyler Road, Van Buren Twp., MI 48111.
