The fall 2026 Plymouth Lecture Series second lecture will be on Thursday, Sept. 24th. We are welcoming new members for our series of five lectures on a wide range of topics including local history, art, music, gardening, health, travel and much more.
We meet at the Plymouth Community Arts Council at 774 Sheldon Road, Plymouth on Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. The setting is informal, everyone is welcome. Since this is a collaborative effort, ideas for future speakers are encouraged.
New
members can pay for the series at their
first visit. The cost is $30.00 for the
five lecture series. It is a great way to meet new people and expand
your horizons. Hope to see you there!

Sept. 24 – Don’t miss clothing historian Jackie Jacobs as she discusses the fashions that were popular during the Downton Abbey years (1912-1930). Some gowns will be on display too!
Oct. 1 – Join us for the DIA the “Behind the Seen” presentation on Georgia O’Keefe: Architecture. It explores the artist's lifelong fascination with man made structures. Many thanks to Lisa Howard for arranging it. The DIA presentations by their docents are always interesting!
Oct. 8 - The Northville Historical Society’s Traci Sincock presents a look at Mill Race Village, a living museum village of restored & replica Victorian-era buildings. Their mission is to preserve local heritage through educational programs, events and its archives.
Oct. 15 – Palaces of Detroit: at one time movie theaters were grand, elaborately decorated single screen palaces designed to make every day folks feel like royalty. Join us and learn about the iconic movie palaces in Detroit with Dan Packer who worked in some and has first-hand knowledge to share.
