Join us for our quarterly screening of classic musicals in a friendly, safe environment for persons with brain changes, their care partners, and anyone who wants to join the fun.
Dementia-friendly screenings include exclusively selected classic movies and musicals presented in a unique setting with softer sound and ambient lighting for the comfort of people living with dementia, as well as their caregivers and friends. This inclusive and judgment-free environment allows guests to interact with the presentation by talking back, clapping, tapping their feet, swaying, singing along, or getting up and dancing. Dementia-friendly screenings take place the second Wednesday of every third month.

The
fall 2026 Plymouth Lecture Series fourth lecture will be Thursday,
October 8th. Last week we were treated to a preview of the
Plymouth Community
Arts Counsel’s
October Exhibit, a wonderfully, colorful,
solo show of original art pieces by
Michigan based Timothy
Orikri. His
works are in
permanent collections including
those at the <a href="https://detroitpubliclibrary.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Detroit
Public Library</a>,
Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Henry Ford Hospital
and the Detroit Marriott. All are sure to enjoy this one!


We
meet at the Plymouth Community Arts Council at 774 N. Sheldon Road,
Plymouth on
Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:30 am. The setting is informal, everyone
is welcome. Since this
is a collaborative community effort,
ideas for future speakers are encouraged. The
Lecture Series is great way to meet new people and expand your
horizons. Hope to see you there!

educational programs, events and its archives.

Detroit: at one time movie theaters were
grand, elaborately decorated single screen palaces designed to make
every day folks feel like royalty. Join us and learn about the iconic
movie palaces in Detroit with Dan Packer who worked in some and has
first-hand knowledge to share.

Come crochet your own mini pumpkin! This beginner-friendly class is perfect if you’ve been wanting to learn crochet or just want a fun fall project.
I’ll walk you through the entire pumpkin from start to finish, and&nbsp;no previous crochet experience is needed.&nbsp;You’ll also get to choose your pumpkin colors to make yours your own!
