Canton Man, 74, Critically Injured In Moped Crash: Police
Police said the elderly man fell off his moped and hit his head on the ground after an SUV tried passing him on Sheldon Road.
CANTON TOWNSHIP, MI — An elderly Canton Township man was seriously injured after a Sunday crash involving a moped, according to police.
Police the elderly man was riding a moped south on Sheldon Road near Gordon Street in Canton Township on Sunday at 2:40 p.m. when a small gray SUV tried to pass him, according to police.
The elderly man then lost control of the scooter and fell off, hitting his head on the ground, according to police.

Officials took the elderly man to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical condition, according to police.
Investigators asked the public to help identify and locate the SUV involved in the incident.
