Canton Man Accused of Slashing Younger Sister Over Weekend

Michael Wayne McCauley faces felony assault charges in connection to Saturday's incident.

A Canton man is accused of slashing his younger sister’s hand during an argument over the weekend, according to a HometownLife report.

Michael Wayne McCauley, 48, was charged with felony assault with intent to do great bodily harm, felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence after the Saturday, March 7, incident, the report stated.

The charges stem from a fight broke out between McCauley and his 43-year-old sister at a Sherwood Village mobile home that led to a 911 call, the report stated. McCauley’s sister was treated for her injuries at a local hospital, the report added.

McCauley was held on $50,000 bond, and his next court date is March 27.
