Elderly Woman Drives Off Road, Crashes Into Garage And Hits Man In Canton Twp. Yard: Cops
Police do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
CANTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A Canton Township man was injured Monday after he was hit by a car that drove through multiple backyards, according to police.
The crash happened at 2:38 p.m. Monday in the area of Saltz Road and Redfern Street in Canton Township, according to police.
Police said an 81-year-old Canton Township woman was driving a 2014 GMC Acadia west on Saltz Road where she veered off the road and hit a garage.

The SUV then went into the backyard of a neighboring home and hit a 52-year-old Canton man, according to police.
The man suffered non-life-threatening, but serious injuries in the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to police.

The elderly woman was also taken to a nearby hospital where her condition was unknown, according to police.
Police do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash. They are also still trying to determine what caused the crash.
