Canton Police Seek Tips In Arson Suspect

Police said the person set a dumpster on fire at a school and then left the area heading north through the woods.

CANTON, MI — The Canton Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a person suspected of setting a fire at Hulsing Elementary School.

Police said the person set a dumpster on fire and then left the area heading north through the woods. The incident happened on Sept. 30 at 2:30 a.m.

The person was described wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a design of a woman on the back and white patterns on the hood and arm cuffs, police said.
