Canton Draws World of Beers; Are 600 Brands Enough?
Second location may open soon in Woodhaven; beer comes from 30 countries.
(Originally posted on Oct. 25, 2016) CANTON, MI – Michiganites may lag behind our neighbors to the west in beer consumption but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate a quality brew. National chain World of Beer opened its first Michigan location this week in Canton this week, to enthusiastic response. Matthew Valentino, general manager, told The Canton Observer a second location is planned for Woodhaven.
World of Beer offers 550 bottled beers and 50 on tap, from about 30 countries.
"I'm elated," Valentino said of getting the Canton WOB open. "I'm absolutely ecstatic." Owner Chad Wilson said opening day marked the culmination of a dream that began more than a year ago to bring World of Beer to Canton.
