The tradition of heralding Christ's birth through a service of lessons and carols has gained popularity in churches since the late 1800's. St. John's own lessons and carols service features the entire music ministry of the church presenting familiar and unfamiliar songs for the Advent season. Through scripture and song let us reflect on the mystery of Advent. A free-will offering will benefit Gleaner's Community Food Bank of Southeast Michigan. This event is part of the church concert series, Resounding Art in a Sacred Space.
