Please remember, if you are a new citizen, a first time eligible student, someone who has never taken the time to register, or someone who is new to the State, MONDAY, July 7, is the last day available to you to register to vote for the Primary Election on August 5.
Let your voice be heard. There are important contests on the ballot whether this is a presidential year or not. You are choosing people to represent you on local, state and national levels. That does matter and affect each of you.
Excited to be working on the campaign for Dr. Anil Kumar for U.S. Congressman. As I walked the Clawson Parade Route on Friday with Dr. Kumar and others, I reflected on how wonderful it is that we have such freedoms as the right to assemble. And all of the other rights afforded to us by the amendments. There are places in the world where every detail of life is dictated to the citizens. We are so fortunate to live in this great country.
I am proud to be an American, descended from the first doctor in Detroit, my roots run all the way back to the pioneers of Fort Pontchartrain. Proud to be from Michigan with all of it's beauty and potential.
No matter what problems there are in the country, state, or localities, we will get past them if we do less finger pointing and more reaching out and brainstorming to find solutions. What there needs to be more of is collaboration and cooperation. Less conflict, name calling, and gridlock. That is why I am so passionate about this campaign.
It is interesting to see all the organization and dedication that goes into a campaign. I am proud to be a part of this campaign and I am 100% behind Dr. Kumar who is intelligent, fair and balanced, concerned for the people and not accolades, and has so much integrity.
Have a wonderful remaining holiday. Happy Fourth of July.
