Intoxicated Man Tells Police His Spouse Is Dead At Home: Authorities
Officers made a welfare check to the Ypsilanti residence and found a body, police said.
YPSILANTI, MI — A body was found in a Ypsilanti residence after an intoxicated man told police his spouse was dead at home, authorities said.
Officers responded around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to a reported disturbance in the area of North River and North streets, according to police, where they encountered a man under the influence of a controlled substance who said his spouse was dead at his residence.
Police made a welfare check at the home in the 800 block of Armstrong Drive and found a dead person, authorities said.

“The cause of death is unknown at this time, however due to known events and circumstances, this incident is being investigated as a suspicious death,” police said.
