Livingston County Man Charged For Killing His Grandparents

OCEOLA TWP, MI — A man was charged for killing his grandparents in an Oceola Township home on Friday, Michigan State Police said.

Chance Raymond Hallam was charged with two counts of homicide at the 53rd District Court in Howell on Sunday. He is being held without a bond, police said.

Authorities found 75-year-old Dale Dormanen and his wife 79-year-old Joan Dormanen dead at their home at 1263 Maple Leaf Lane on Friday at 7:16 a.m., police said.

Officers arrested Hallam at the scene after he called 911 regarding an active threat. He was taken into custody while exiting the home, police said.

Authorities did not reveal how Dale and Joan Dormanen died, as few details regarding the incident have been released at this time.
