Man Arrested In 'Suspicious' Death Of 70-Year-Old Canton Man: Police

Officers found the 70-year-old man dead in Dearborn after checking his Canton home on a missing persons report, police said.

CANTON, MI — A man was arrested in connection with the "suspicious" death of a 70-year-old Canton man, police said Wednesday.

Police began investigating Tuesday when officers were called to the victim's home for a report of a missing man, police said.

After looking into "suspicious circumstances," officers found the victim's body in Dearborn a short time later, police said.

Canton's police chief Chad Baugh told WXYZ officials determined the man was killed in the North River Woods subdivision.

Police did not identify the victim or say how he died, or exactly where his body was found in Dearborn. Police also did not identify the person who was arrested in connection to the killing.

Police were still investigating the incident.
