Metro Detroit Sports Bar Closing Down This Month
"This was not an easy decision," staff said in a statement.
LIVONIA, MI — A sports bar located on Plymouth Road in Livonia is closing down at the end of this month.
Time Out Bar and Grill will serve its last round of food and drinks on July 31, restaurant staff announced.
"This was not an easy decision. Time Out has been much more than a bar and grill to all of us," staff said in a statement. "It has been a gathering place for friends, families, regulars, sports fans, employees, and plenty of people who came in for “just one drink” and somehow stayed through the fourth quarter."

The bar's owner, Tracy Enright, told Patch staff gave everything they had to keep the bar, but it consumes a lot of time, energy and sacrifice, and ultimately, they needed to do what's sustainable for their family.
"What makes this especially difficult is that Time Out was never just a business," Enright said. "It was part of people’s routines and traditions. We saw friendships formed, birthdays celebrated, games won and lost, and plenty of customers who walked in as strangers and became regulars."

The bar will keep the grill hot and serve burgers, wings and other bar bites alongside cold drinks until its final day.
"Please stop in during our final stretch, share your favorite Time Out memory, and help us give this neighborhood bar the sendoff it deserves," staff said.
Enright said the closing announcement has since reminded staff how much the bar meant to people.
"That has made the decision harder, but it has also made us incredibly grateful, Enright said. "We want these final two weeks to be less about mourning the closing and more about celebrating the people and memories that made Time Out what it was."
