NBA’s Draymond Green, Former Spartan All-American, Arrested in Michigan: Reports
Police aren't confirming the arrest, but said a current NBA player was arrested for assault.
East Lansing, MI — Golden State Warriors star forward and former Michigan State standout Draymond Green, a member of this summer’s U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team, was arrested for assault in East Lansing Sunday, according to multiple reports.
“The police department is not confirming any arrest with that name," Lt. Scott Wrigglesworth, public information officer for the East Lansing Police Department told MLive.com. “What I can confirm is that we did arrest a current NBA basketball player this weekend and he was arrested for assault. That's all we're confirming right now.”
The San Francisco Chronicle has confirmed the arrest with jail staff.

The Warriors released the following statement: “We are aware of news involving Draymond Green in Michigan over the weekend. At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation.”
