P-CEP Marching Band Is Top Michigan Performer at Bands of America Competition
Acclaimed group reaches semifinals, places 21st out of 100 bands.

(Posted Nov. 16, 2016) PLYMOUTH-CANTON, MI — The Plymouth-Canton Educational Park Marching Band's "Tangled in Gold" performance routine advanced to the semifinals Saturday at the Bands of America Grand National Championship in Indianapolis, Indiana, Hometownlie.com is reporting. In the final ranking the band was 21st among 100 after what P-CEP band director Jon Thomann said was "one of the most inspiring performances I've ever seen since I've been at Plymouth-Canton."
The top marching bands in the country compete at the Bands of America Grand National Championship, which has three rounds of competition over three days.
The Plymouth-Canton's was the top Michigan band in the competition.
