A Plymouth man is in trouble after police said speed and alcohol appear to be factors in a crash that killed one and injured another.
NOVI, MI — A Plymouth man is in trouble after police said speed and alcohol appear to be factors in a crash that killed a passenger and injured another.
Donovan Early Lycette, 24, was charged with one count of operating while intoxicated causing death, a 15-year felony, and operating while intoxicated causing serious injury, a five-year felony, officials said. He was placed in jail and given a $10,000 cash bond.
Police said Lycette was driving south on Cranbrooke Street, in the area of 10 Mile and Haggerty roads Monday at 3 a.m. when he lost control, crossing the median and hitting a tree, officials said.

Justin Mark Griesemer, 32, of Novi, was sitting in the backseat of the car and was killed in the crash, officials said. He was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.
Another passenger in the car suffered a broken leg, and Lycette suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.
