Plymouth Police Found Suspect Wanted For Sexual Assault

The 15-year-old young man will face charges, Plymouth Police said.

The incident happened Saturday at 7:00 p.m. when a man entered the women’s bathroom and hid in a stall in the Comfort Station bathrooms at the Gathering pavilion at 736 Penniman Avenue.

PLYMOUTH, MI — The Plymouth Police Department found the young man wanted for an attempted sexual assault.

The 15-year-old lives outside the Plymouth community and will face charges, police said.

Police did not release any additional details.

Police said the incident happened Saturday at 7:00 p.m. when the young man entered the women’s bathroom at the Comfort Station in the Gathering pavilion at 736 Penniman Avenue and hid in a stall.

A woman entered a separate stall, and when leaving the young man attacked her and attempted to sexually assault her, police said.

The woman fought off the attacker, and the young man then fled out the bathroom door toward Kellogg Park, and then toward Union Street, police said.

The woman was physically unharmed in the incident, police said.
