Plymouth Whalers Release 2014-15 Schedule

The Plymouth Whalers start the 2014-15 Ontario Hockey League schedule playing four tough opponents from the Western Conference.

After opening the season in London on Fri. Sept. 26, Plymouth hosts Erie in the home opener on Sat. Sept. 27 at 7:05 pm at Compuware Arena. 

The following weekend, the Whalers play in Guelph on Fri. Oct. 3 against the OHL-champion Storm at Sleeman Centre before returning home to host London on Sat. Oct. 4 at 7:05 pm at Compuware Arena.

Season Tickets for the upcoming 2014-15 Whalers schedule can be purchased by calling Compuware Arena at (734) 453-8400 or by clicking this link.

The Whalers are in the middle of a "25 Days of Giveaways" campaign for season ticket holders. Purchase a season ticket in full and  season ticket holders are eligible to win prizes in a raffle.  The first two season tickets holders to win are Tom Pawlowicz and Steven Gavala, both from Canton.

One highlight of the Whalers preseason schedule is Plymouth's Fourth Alumni Game, held Saturday, Aug. 16 at 4 pm at Compuware Arena.  More details will be released soon.  Some 20 alumni have committed to the game, with more coming soon.

Plymouth starts the pre-season with its annual off-site game, hosting Windsor on Sat. Aug. 30 at 7 pm at Mike Modano Ice Arena in Westland.   The Whalers play in Windsor on Thurs. Sept 4 at Windsor Family Credit Union Centre and then finishes the preseason with home-and-home games with Saginaw - in Saginaw on Fri. Sept 5 and then hosting Saginaw on Compuware Arena on Sat. Sept. 6.  The time for the Sept. 6 game will be announced later.

Plymouth finished 28-33-0-7 last season, eighth in the Western Conference, while making the OHL Playoffs for the 23rd consecutive season.  The Whalers were eliminated in the first round of the 2014 OHL Playoffs by the Guelph Storm.

The Whalers return an entire roster of players from last season.
