Police Capture, Shoot Pit Bull That Attacked Jogger In Plymouth Township: Cops
The victim was in stable condition at a nearby hospital, according to police.
PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, MI — A dangerous dog that attacked a jogger in Plymouth Township over the weekend has been caught, according to police.
The pit bull was found Tuesday near a playground where officers fired shots and struck the dog, WXYZ reports.
The dog was then placed into a police car and taken to a vet where it was unclear if it would survive, according to the report.

Police said there is no further danger and thanked the community for help in finding the dog.
The dog was one of three that attacked a runner at 6:30 a.m. Saturday in the 12000 block of North Canton Center Road, according to police.

Officers arrived and fired shots at the dogs, striking at least one of them as they fled the area, according to police.
The victim was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition, according to police.
The dog that was shot at the scene, a Cane Corso, was found injured in a backyard about five blocks from the scene, according to police, who said the animal could not be secured with a catch pole and was euthanized.
Another of the dogs, also a Cane Corso, was found near an elementary school and taken to the Huron Valley Humane Society for quarantine, police said.
Police have identified the owner of the dogs and said they were investigating.
