Police Seize 12 Kilograms of Cocaine in Traffic Stop
Canton police are holding the 23-year-old driver of vehicle stopped on a defective equipment violation.

CANTON, MI — Police seized about 12 kilograms of suspected cocaine in a Sunday morning traffic stop in Livonia, authorities said.
The suspected narcotics were discovered in a search of a PT Cruiser that police in Canton had stopped for defective equipment about 10:30a.m. in the area of Interstate 96 and Levan Road in Livonia, according to a news release from the Canton Public Safety Department.
A Michigan State Police dog detected the suspected drugs in the search of the vehicle, according to the release.

The 23-year-old driver of the vehicle is being held at the Canton Police Department, police said. The driver’s name was not disclosed.
