Rash of Burglaries at Plymouth Township Subdivision

In one case, a homeowner came home Saturday to find Christmas gifts and about $2,000 in jewelry missing.


Plymouth Township police are warning residents to be on the lookout for suspicious behavior after three residential break-ins Saturday in the Rolling Oaks subdivision off North Territorial Road.

Glen Spice told WXYZ-TV that about $2,000 in jewelry and Christmas gifts were stolen in a break-in that he discovered when he returned to his home around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The entire home had been gone through, he said.

At least two other homeowners reported burglaries, according to police.

An alarm went off at another home in the subdivision about 6:45 p.m. Saturday and scared the burglar or burglars off.

Anyone who may have seen anyone suspicious in the subdivision Saturday is asked to call Plymouth Township Police at (734) 354-3248.
