Resigned Drunk Tells Police to Take Him to Jail: Report

Plymouth Township police said a man arrested on drunken driving charges told officer to go ahead and take him to jail.

PLYMOUTH, MI – Police in Plymouth Township said a man accused of driving drunk and causing an accident made it easy for for an officer responding to a traffic accident earlier this month.

The man reportedly admitted he was drunk and wouldn’t pass a field sobriety test, so police should haul him off to jail, The Plymouth Observer reports.

The officer didn’t have to ask twice.

Police administered a field sobriety test at the southbound exit ramp on Interstate 275, near Ann Arbor Road, where the crash occurred about 1 a.m. on May 13, and then arrested him.
