Rubio to Campaign in SE Michigan Wednesday

Here's how to RSVP for presidential campaign appearance by U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida.

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, MI - Republican presidential contender Marco Rubio will campaign in Oakland County Wednesday, Dec. 9, to meet with supporters. A stop in Waterford Township is Rubio’s itinerary, his campaign said.

The rally takes place at 4:15 p.m. at the Barnstormers Flight Support Hanger No. 2 at the Oakland County International Airport, 6544 Highland Road.

Rubio, a U.S. senator from Florida, is trailing frontrunner Donald Trump, but is in a near tie with retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson (15.8 percent) and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas (14.8 percent), according to a RealClearPoltiics.com average of recent polls.

Rubio is in fourth place in that average with 14.3 percent, and none of the second-tier candidates are close to billionaire businessman Donald Trump, who has 29. percent.

  • Quinnipiac: Trump, 27 percent; Carson, 16 percent; Cruz, 16 percent; Rubio, 17 percent
