The Inn at St. John's bested Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center in Plymouth (itself a Readers' Choice winner ) and in Canton, the runners-up in the poll.
Johnson said many who stay at St. John's are from the Plymouth, Northville and Canton communities, but also draws staycationers from the greater Metro Detroit community.

With the debut last year of the upscale Concours d'Elegance auto exhibit, Johnson said the profile for the Inn at St. John's has been increased among auto enthusiasts. She said the exibit is the largest public event offered each summer at the venue.
She said she was grateful for the support of the community in the Readers' Choice poll.
"We're certainly appreciative," she said. "We work hard to make our facility sort of a respite, so people don't have to drive four hours or get on a plane to get away."
