TRIPLE PLAY FOR THE PLYMOUTH FIFE AND DRUM CORPS

The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps will celebrate the 4th of July with not one, but three performances.

The day kicks off in their home town of Plymouth, Michigan.  They will march down Main Street in the annual 4th of July Parade beginning at 9:00 AM.  The Plymouth Community invites you to, "Spend a day with us and enjoy the parade, shopping, dining, picnics, and more. Why? Because Plymouth is the Place to meet!  Plymouth Rocks!"

PFDC will then make their way through the streets of Downtown Northville.  The Independence Day Parade is sure to be a hit once again.  There may even be a few new surprises in store for the spectators.   This year’s theme is Celebrating America’s Heroes, so dress in your red white & blue, bring your blanket or chairs, and come to Downtown Northville.

If small town parades aren’t your thing, head to “The D”. Baseball, hot dogs, fireworks and PFDC!  You can’t get more All American than that! The Detroit Tigers invited the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps to help celebrate Independence Day as they take on the Tampa Bay Rays, Friday, July 4 at 7:08 p.m.  The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps performed at Comerica on Independence Day in 2012 and they are honored to accept the invitation again this year.

Be sure to arrive early to check out the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps' pre-game performance in front of Gate A off Witherell St.

During a  special 4th of July pre-game celebration, they will march around the field inside Comerica Park while performing patriotic Revolutionary War era music in their historically accurate colonial uniforms.  PFDC President Sue Momano commented, "This is an event our members will remember the rest of their lives.  It's nearly every kid's dream to be able to step on the field at Comerica Park, but to be able to perform there as well  is a lifelong memory."

Spend 4th of July with the Detroit Tigers and the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps!  Enjoy a hot dog as you see PFDC’s waving red, white, and blue American flags.  Listen to the melody of their fifes and hear the thundering drums and Tigers' bats.

Independence Day would not be complete without fireworks. After the game, Comerica Park will light up the Detroit skyline.  Stay and take in the spectacular postgame fireworks display.
