Tutor Time Plymouth School Age Class WINS National Contest

The Tutor Time LifeSmart Curriculum is a hands-on, child initiated curriculum with a multiple intelligence influence.  Each year, the Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten classes use a nine word sentence for the Word of the Month program.  This sentence contains every letter of the alphabet so that the students get a chance to learn about each letter sometime during the school year.  The Word of the Month sentence is made up by Tutor Time School Age children each year.  This Spring, Learning Care Group held a contest to find next year's sentence.  The classes must submit a clever, nine word sentence that contains each letter of the alphabet.  There were hundreds of submissions from all across the country.  This year, the Plymouth Tutor Time School Age class WON this contest!  Ms. Kathryn’s students were so smart when creating next year’s Word of the Month sentence: they used a compound word, an adverb, an unusual adjective, and the subject of their sentence is an animal the whole school can learn more about all year long: WOMBATS!

Here is the winning sentence:
Five jazzy wombats played saxophones loudly creating big earthquakes.

Congratulations, Tutor Time Plymouth!  As an award for winning this contest, the School Age Class received an ice cream party!  Great Job, School Age Class!
