Two Ousted Plymouth Township Officials Declare Write-in Candidacies

Defeated in primaries, Edwards and Conzelman stir the pot and keep their hats in the ring.

(Posted Nov. 2, 2016) PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, MI — It ain't over till it's over. Two incumbent Plymouth Township officers, who lost in the Republican primary in August by big margins, filed papers to retain their jobs as write-in candidates, The Plymouth Observer reported. Treasurer Ron Edwards, a five-term treasurer, and Clerk Nancy Conzelman, who is finishing her first term, were defeated, respectively, by Mark Clinton, a regional executive with Cisco Systems Jerry Vorva, a semi-retired real estate agent and former state legislator.
