Wayne Mother Charged In 8-Year-Old Daughter's Death: Police
The 30-year-old mother was charged with felony murder and first-degree child abuse, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
WAYNE, MI — A Wayne mother has been charged in the death of her 8-year-old daughter, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
Officers found the 8-year-old girl unresponsive inside a home in the 35200 block of Phyllis Street, near Wayne and Van Born roads, at roughly 5:19 a.m. Sunday morning, according to police.
Police said the child had multiple injuries to her head and neck. The child was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to police.

More information was expected to be released after her arraignment Tuesday.
