Westland Woman Dies After Crashing Her Vehicle Along Newburgh Rd

WAYNE, MI — A 58-year-old Westland woman died at a local hospital Saturday after crashing her vehicle along Newburgh Road in Wayne, police said.

Wayne officers said the woman crashed her vehicle Saturday at 3:49 p.m. on Newburgh Road between West Michigan Avenue and Glenwood Street.

She was transported to a local hospital where she later died, police said.

A preliminary investigation indicates drugs and alcohol were not contributing factors.
