Wixom Man Charged For Connection To Detroit Homicide

WIXOM, MI — A Wixom man was charged Thursday for fatally shooting a Detroit woman, Prosecutor Kym Worthy's office said.
Jarren Cox, 19 was arrested on Monday in Wixom and charged with first degree murder, felony firearm and witness intimidation, the prosecutor's office said.
Officials believe Cox fatally shot Andrea Tucker, 40, in the driveway of her home on the 16940 block of Carlisle in Detroit on Nov. 17, the prosecutor's office said.

Cox is also the son of a man who was charged in a domestic violence arson case against Tucker, the prosecutor's office said.
Cox was placed in jail Thursday. His probable cause hearing is on Dec. 3 and the preliminary examination is on Dec. 10, the prosecutor's office said.
