Woman's Body Found In Rural Metro Detroit Field: Police

NORTHFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A woman's body was found in a rural Washtenaw County field Sunday, according to police.

Police said the body was found along Earhart Road, just north of 6 Mile Road in Northfield Township, which is northeast of Ann Arbor.

Investigators were still trying to determine what happened to the woman.

Though it's unclear if this is a homicide case, police do not believe there is any danger or threats to nearby residents as of Tuesday.

Police did not provide any description of the woman, including her age.
