1 Dead In Oakland County Hit-And-Run On M-59: Sheriff

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — One person is dead in a hit-and-run crash that happened on Michigan 59 (Hall Road) in Rochester Hills early Friday morning, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at 7:20 a.m. in the eastbound lanes on Michigan 59 near Livernois Road.

The driver never stopped after the crash, officials said.

Officials did not identify the person killed or the vehicle involved with the crash.

Eastbound Michigan 59 at Crooks Road was shut down Friday morning as police were still investigating the crash.

No further information was released.
