2 Dead, 1 Hurt After Head-On Crash In Macomb County: Police

MACOMB TOWNSHIP, MI — Two drivers were killed and another person was injured after a head-on collision Monday in Macomb Township, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.

Police said a man was driving a white GMC van north on North Avenue at 2:10 p.m. when it collided with a red Dodge Ram that driving south on North Avenue near Indian Trail.

Both drivers, who were men, were killed in the crash, officials said.

A passenger in the pickup truck was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injures, officials said. Police did not release any names.

Police do not know if anyone was wearing their seatbelt, or if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

Detectives were still investigating the cause of the crash.

North Avenue was shut down between Indian Trail and Hagen Road during the investigation, but reopened Monday evening.
