2 Dead After Head-On Crash In Lapeer County: Police

Officials were still investigating the crash, but they do not believe speeding or alcohol played a role in the crash, according to police.​​

ALMONT TOWNSHIP, MI — Two men were killed in a head-on crash Thursday evening in Lapeer County, according to police.

A 67-year-old man was driving a Dodge Ram truck north on Van Dyke near Hough Road at 7 p.m. when he crossed the center line and smashed into a Chevy Tahoe, according to police.

The driver of the pickup truck and a 91-year-old man from Rochester who was driving the Tahoe were killed in the crash, according to police.

Both drivers were the only people inside the vehicles, according to police.
