2 Dead In Oakland County Shooting: Sheriff

PONTIAC, MI — Two people are dead after a Tuesday morning shooting in Pontiac, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

The shooting happened at 8 a.m. Tuesday inside an apartment near the intersection of Fiddis Avenue and North Sanford Street, just south of Michigan 59, according to the sheriff's office.

Officers found a 20-year-old man shot dead and a 24-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds inside a room at the apartment complex, according to the sheriff's office.

The 24-year-old man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, according to the sheriff's office.

Witnesses told officers the shooter ran from the apartment, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials did not release the identities of the victims, or give a description of the shooter.

Officials were still investigating the shooting.
