2 Firefighters Hurt Battling Rochester Hills Fire: Officials

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Two firefighters were injured battling a Rochester Hills house fire Saturday morning, the Rochester Hills Fire Department said.

The firefighters were taken to a nearby hospital and were expected to be ok, officials said. No civilians were injured in the house fire, officials said.

The 5,000 square foot home on the 800 block of Quarry Drive caught fire on its second floor Saturday just after 11 a.m., officials said.

Rochester Hills firefighters reached the home within five minutes and were able to contain the heavy fire, officials said.

There was major damage to the home, officials said.

Detectives were still investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
