Woman, Girl Found Dead Inside Macomb County Home: Officials

MACOMB TOWNSHIP, MI — A woman and a young girl were found dead inside a Macomb Township home Wednesday afternoon, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said.

Officers found the bodies inside a home on Downing Street near 22 Mile and Hayes Road in Macomb Township during a welfare check, officials said.

Officials said they do not know the cause of death and did not say what prompted the welfare check.

Police do not believe there is a threat to the community.

No further information was released as officials are still investigating the scene.
