2022 Rochester Hills Festival: What You Need Know

Rochester Hills promises the biggest fireworks show in the city's history.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — The Rochester Hills free "2022 Festival of the Hills" starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening at Borden Park on the corner of Hamlin and John R. roads.

The event features live music from DJ Joey Radio and DJ Paul Martindale as well as Disney’s Encanto on a large outdoor movie screen, leading up to biggest fireworks show in the city's history at 10:05pm.

Officials reminded those planning to attend that no alcohol, sparklers or other fireworks, as well as pets will be allowed in the park. Officials also reminded those planning to attend not to bring remote control planes or quad-copters or anything else that flies.

Officials said attended may bring their own food and drinks, but no charcoal grills.

Parking will be allowed through the Hamlin Road entrance. The park's entrances will close when parking is full, except for handicap parking which will be available all evening inside the park, near the Hamlin Road entrance.

Starting at 4 p.m., parking will also be allowed on Hamlin Road itself.
